Examples:
1. Making bracelet - 10 Minutes base line
Random base factor - 11
Size - Medium [12]
Factor 11+12=23
In city 75% but rolls 75% so supply is limited but has some
Decides on Nickel 2BB cost factor and x1.2 time factor
Time: = 10x1.2=12 minutes
Mods - Partial Toolx x1.5
EL55 - x1.4
Time factor = 12 x 1.5 x1.4 = 18x1.4=23 minutes
Value Factor - 2 BB rolls a 35 for success roll
35 is x.6SC x 23 = 13.8 SC plus 2 BB for materials
2. Special wedding amulet under slight duress from lord
Amulet - 20 min Baseline Base Factor 8 [decent materials]
Ordered white gold
City has no white gold 100 on Avail roll. Has to wait a week
Second week rolled 45 got shipment in.
Time factor x1.5
Time = 20x1.5=30 min
Wants large amulet for bride factor 20
Factor - 20+8=28 for Item Factor
Mods - Full set of Tools - x0.75
Hostlle (duress) x2
EL75 x1.2
One large inset x1.1
Time Factor - 30 x5.05= 151.5
Basiclaly 2.5 hours he prays lord likes
Rolls 73 so did a fair job.
Value - x1 SC x28 = 28 SC with 1 GC (10 SC) material
final value 38 SC to lord free and vital for marriage
Optinal: If use Modifier item factor 1 inset is d6 more
Roll 2 making Item Factor 30 so adds 2 SC to value.
Notes: Based on some research Rings were 5 minutes even in medieval
times using wire mesh leading. Also vidoes seem to confirm
this. Based o na Ring as baseline I just guess estimated on
the other factors. I think this system is fast and clean.
using treasure charts i gueesed on what might be most common
for cities and factors involved in forging an dsuch. So used
Brass as a baseline.
Let's look at Min, Max, Averages EL40 average, No insets/specials, Brass
EL40 EL50 Value
Min - 7.5 min 5 4-8 SC
Average 13.75 6.25 9 SC
Max 15 7.5 104 SC
So a jeweler making rings of Brass with all thingsnormal
and assuming materials. A good jeweler can make around 12
and hour at min. Probably 10 with breaks.
On average could make 50 silver an hour. A fairly decent
living assuming nothing special like no gem insets.
