Also...Scott...is it just items or our mana available also zero? If we do find out our little toys are drained, Kiet will cast an EL0 personal illusion spell just to see if his own power is gone too. If the items do turn back on, Kiet intends to test every one of his 'toys'. GM: Ack. Just items not people. I used Burton's great Aby charts. In this case Balance 37-39 for the result rolled. Kell brings up going through Thaliba by land. "We could," says Kiet, "but then we would have to fight our way through the Thaliban tribal areas...and it would be a very dangerous path. We would probably have to fight night and day." The Chief constable nods, "I've heard of bad stories of folks entering their land. Not pretty." Responding to Kiet about possible travel - "Good points on Thaliba. So how are we traveling to Kameri? Teleport to Sivas then go north? Z'leyra and everyone?" ------- [Outside South-East Gate] [Time: 3:41 pm] Arawn steps back from the magical blast. Well not a real blast but more like a siphon of energy as it a great whirl wind of magic was sucked away. Arawn recovers and then looks at the group. He can sense that folks still are showing their overall magical energy but their toys are not at this point. Fremea seems to snicker slightly as she seems to realize that something ver bad went on. A very great prank from the gods it seems. She wished she had thought of it. Kell notices that Kiet's hands are not showing that red fog that has to be his magical rings. Kell then looks at others. Z'leyra and her staff usually shows a brownish hue but now its either invisible or gone. "That went well," Arawn said with a shake of his head and a look that fell somewhere between a smirk and a grin. "The universe has exacted its toll - sucking up our magic to balance out what was given, I guess. For those of you unable to sense it, our magical items have been drained. No worries though, they should be back to normal in time - hours most likely, but possibly a few days." "Oh darn," Z'leyra swears. "I am sorry. I guess I pushed a bit too hard. Hopefully the magic will come back soon. I drained all the magic that I can do today. I should be fine for tomorrow. Meanwhile lets head to where the horses are." Lucria grabs his whip and flexes in the air grumbling for a moment and glaring at Z'leyra. How to make friends and influence is a good hobby. Kiet decides to cast a quick illusion and makes himself look like the Green Z'leyra but only briefly before the chief and hunter takes him down. Then Kiet grumbles that at least he has some magical energy. Undaunted the Chief looks to Arawn, "I understand you will magic us to ...Sivas? Shall we go now?" Actions? Comments? Next Update....Friday??? GM: A short update but I need those details on teleporting before we go on. I added to the roster the two npcs. I forgot to add them to the count so this is 9 people to teleport. Once I get details here or in email I'll post the next great update! It should be quite exciting!
