That thing weighs a ton! Besides, it's totally the wrong thing to use for taking off a head from someone laying on a flat stone surface. You have to strike the blade exactly parallel to the surface or the head doesn't come off, and the clanging sword bounces out of you hurting hands! An axe or curved sword is a much better choice. Before he can react though, Kiet looks up from his piles of toys when the commotion over Mae happens. Whoa! Bat wings? Tail? Kiet knew there was something really, really odd about her, but didn't know exactly what it was. This is an unexpected turn of events. Still, it's her against the four, plus they have total control over everyone here. He doesn't see that the situation has really changed. Kiet hears Fuk call out to him, pleading for help. Kiet turns his head to look at Fuk, smiles, and tells him. "Me? The fool? Which of us is free and which of us is forced to stand in line? You have know idea how much the fools you are!" Fuk growls, "did you hit your head and go insane in that lava room?" He glances from Kiet to Mae. Considers saying things but is shocked by who she is. Then Kiet just turns back to his sifting. Maelorna reaches behind her as Zin stands behind her and she caresses his chest and looks at the shifter with a knowing smile. 'Ok, you have one, now what?' she asks herself, 'I don't think they'll fall for a bluff and damn it, I hate doing this.' she curses mentally as a memory comes to mind from the succubus that Master Gniled summoned to train her. 'A bluff will often work better than flattery, both are often better than the reality a mortal knows. Having the whistle grabbed before she could touch it was less than pleasing. She stops for a moment and looks at shifter #2 while still idly caressing Zin's chest with a finger, "You seem nervous about letting me come near you." she purrs, mentally gauging the distance between herself and shifter #2. "Another step and stay away?" she giggles playfully, "What makes you think I care for them? I was content to remain hidden from most of them, only two of them knew what I was." as she sighs, "Well, only one of them knew, well now, it seems that the cat's out of the bag and well honestly, do you think they'll accept me now? Besides, this toy, " as she indicates Zin, "killed the one I actually cared for," as she takes a ragged breath, holding back an emotion she can't afford at the moment, "To think, I had hoped that I might have had a chance to learn what it means to care for another without thinking of them as food. But no, instead you and your kind have made certain that I have only my other half to fall back on, which sees males as both a food source and souls to be given to the Princess." "I would have been content to continue as a runaway slave they believed I was, they actually had freed me from the one who claimed me as his own." as she narrows her gaze, "and now I've broken my promise to them." as she narrows her gaze looking at him as her smile fades. "I'm hungry and if you kill them, then you've killed my source of food and well," as she looks at him and gives him a playful grin. "I can always feed upon you." Suddenly those facing the north, alter and Arawn, see Arawn reach his arms upward and twist. He twists the 'wrist' of the being with martial art skill and with his other hand grabs the whistle away. A second later all 4 shifters including Zin are translocated to the south wall a foot from it. Arawn rolls off the table and lands on his feet. A bit shaky he holds the whistler in his right hand and left hand he reaches out and touches the Cryx ball. A burst of heat and energy seems to wave over Arawn intesifying his whole being. The party are oblivious to the 3 shifters behind them forming dual claws and glaring about to charge. Zin seems to stare in confusion and looks around for Mae again. The party though is still unable to move. However Kell now can wiggle his fingers. Z'leyra can also wiggle her left hand fingers. But Z'leyra can now move her right wrist completely as it is free. But her arm is still in place as she continues to fight the creature. Mae looks at the alter and see a blood smear where Arawn's head was just moments ago. She then sees the dagger Zin was playing with on the alter near Arawn. Actions? Comments? Next Update.. Saturday... GM: Yep. Things with Arawn was moving behind scenes. This is a short update but this is how it will go for a bit. Party has maybe 2 phases before shifters reach the party to kill them. Unless these things move faster. I will do update Saturday. The dwarves forgot to add Z'layha to the map so she's there now. GM: Mana Report updates and online. This has current Energy, Health and Mana levels for everyone but Arawn. He has tons to do and I've not had time to update his part. Will do that by next update I hope. GM: Future Adventure - Sadly Kell/Mark is awol. We've tried to contact him to no avail. So while his adventure had 4 votes it is invalid now. So the next votes (3) is Dorhak's adventure. So if Dorhak is willing we can center a adventure around him. This means you'd be party leader and would need to dedicate time to the adventure as leader so it will be a more intense time source. If you are willing let me know. Frankly I'm a bit clueless on any adventure but I can come with something. If not then we'll go to 2 votes (Arawn, Mystery and then Farseeker's adventure based on a 3 way tie).
